Áðan leit ég við í Alþjóðahúsinu og skildi eftir bunka af flugritum þar sem þetta er tilkynnt:
English presentation, Tuesday March 29th at 8 PM
Film screening and presentation about
The Icelandic Intervention in Afghanistan
Iceland has no Army. But Icelanders are wearing uniforms and carrying guns in Afghanistan. How did troops from a country that has no army and has been at peace for 1000 years wind up occupying the most war torn area in the world?
Veteran journalist Kristinn Hrafnsson went to Afghanistan to document the Icelandic force in charge of Kabul airport. He made a documentary called Dressing for the Occasion, scripted by former editor of Reykjavik Grapevine and AP correspondent Valur Gunnarsson, and directed by Friðrik Gunnarsson. Kristinn and Valur will be talking about the situation in Afghanistan and the Icelanders there, and screening the first English language cut of the film.
Location: Snarrót, Reykjavik Center for Grassroots Politics, Garðastræti 2.

Við að lesa þessa færslu Óla Gneista hlýnaði mér um hjartarætur. Að hugsa sér að Háskólalistinn skuli hafa náð að vinna þennan sigur í kosningunum til stúdentaráðs. Að Háskólalistamaður skuli vera formaður stúdentaráðs er nokkuð sem ég held að ekki hafi hvarflað að neinu okkar fyrir tveim árum.
